If only “alakazam” worked on love…
My name is Kyla O’Connor and I’m a witch who specializes in magickal cocktails that cater to our clients’ needs. Too bad I can’t whip up a specialty drink for my needs and help me find true love. In a moment of weakness, I cave and sign up for a magickal dating agency—supposedly their app can match you with your soul mate. I don’t know…I mean…it tastes like pomegranates. Yuck! But nothing ventured, nothing gained. I’m stoked when my first date is a 99.375% near perfect match. That is until he shows up and it’s none other than the bane of my high school existence. The boy who stole my heart, broke it, and ruined my reputation: Roman “the Conqueror” McIntosh. I instantly swipe left, but he won’t go away. Most women would beg to be stalked by this big, bad wolf, but not me. Every day I wake to the same email, the same match. What in the name of Hades is going on? How did we get caught in a time loop and how do we break it so I can find my real soul mate? Or did I already find him? |

My name is Avalon O’Cuinn and I’m a fairy who doesn’t exactly fit the fae mold. I’m short. My wings are too small. I kill plants instead of making them bloom, and I’d rather sling drinks at The Cauldron than spend five minutes at the royal fae court. My dating life isn’t much better. After one too many disastrous dates, I finally give in and sign up with Fated Mates—a magickal dating agency. What do I have to lose besides my dignity? My first match comes in at a whopping 99.753%. Practically perfect. There’s just one teeny-tiny problem: he’s fae. The one species I specifically said I didn’t want. Kegan Byrne is tall, gorgeous, smells like a spring meadow, and has a voice that makes my wings trill. Worse, he’s sweet, funny, and about as interested in fitting into fae society as I am. He’s also a landscaper. Did I mention I can kill a plant just by looking at it? I should swipe left and hold out for someone who doesn’t remind me of everything I ran away from. Instead, I agree to one date. Then another. And suddenly I’m wondering if that ridiculous app actually got something right. Because the more time I spend with Kegan, the harder it is to remember why being matched with another fae was such a terrible idea. Maybe 99.753% isn’t practically perfect. Maybe it is perfect. |
