First, you give up daylight and then you give up food, like chocolate.
Um, No. Just no. Patty would agree with me on this. So we’ll take turning another year older if it means days on the beach, sunsets and a varied diet (ie: white, milk, dark…).
So let’s break out some noisemakers and help Patty Blount make the most of this auspicious occasion.
But wait. We can’t have a party without some of the birthday girl’s favorite things. Right?
And one of the things my girl loves (other than me) is CHOCOLATE.
In preparation of today’s big event, I asked myself, “Self, what kind of chocolate should we get for Patty?” So many wonderful choices. I mean the decadent goodness comes in many forms and flavors (although, I’ll be honest…chocolate covered bacon doesn’t sound all that appealing to me). Well, that was one thing off the list. Then I crossed off the chocolate sauce (we’ll let her hubby provide that gift ;-) hint, hint Mr. Blount). So I went to the experts...
I can almost taste that smooth, creamy goodness. Can't you? Grant I could have picked a different brand, but let’s be honest. No one does chocolate like the Swiss.
Party favors: check. Now we need a cake and not just any old cake will do.

What do you think? Think our birthday girl is drooling yet? I know I am.

But let’s not stop there. We need ice cream for a birthday party.

What about something to drink…
Chocolate martini anyone? Be warned, these have been known to go straight to your head and numb your lips.

And while this last gift has nothing to do with chocolate, I do know he’s a passion of Patty’s…
Happy birthday, my friend. Wishing you many, many more to celebrate. XOXO ~ Gail
